Nuneaton: The Ali's View |
| Saturday: 10th September 2005 |
|
A small group of Alikadoos travelled with the team to Nuneaton on Saturday and those supporters who preferred to watch a soggy Oval missed a most enjoyable day out. It was an excellent game which, in some ways, we were unfortunate to lose. The hospitality in the Clubhouse was highly convivial and we were very well looked after by Joe Roseblade and Sarah. Our sincere thanks. The connoisseurs declared that the real ale was in excellent condition though the New Brighton fans found it a little expensive at 20p dearer than at Hartsfield. (Not so bad as Leicester Lions, though, which was 40p dearer than Hartsfield!!.) We hope that we have repaired some fences and that we are able to drawn a line under the differences of two years ago. We look forward to the Nuns visit to Hartsfield in January and our opportunity to reciprocate their hospitality. |
