The most fiercely contested game was the "Lads" against the "Dads". Anthony Birley, "Birls", played for the "Dads" and Stephen Dean played for the "Lads". This was a game of touch rugby and the boys who were competing against their dads wanted to prove a point and vice versa.
The formal aspect of the day was completed with the presentation of awards. Two awards were made to each of the four groups and everyone who attended was given a medal. The awards were as follows:

Under 11
Player of the Year Scott Ditchfield
Most Improved Player Declan Taylor

Under 12
Player of the Year Josh Harrison
Most Improved Player Liam Ryan

Under 13
Player of the Year Alex Shaw
Most Improved Player Josh Griffin

Under 14
Player of the Year Joe Cardus
Most Improved Player Chris Mitchell

Tony Kettell organised the provision and engraving of both the trophies and the medals and we are grateful for his help.
The boys were reminded that registration for next season will be on the first Sunday of September and coaching sessions will begin the following Sunday.
Finally, our thanks to Ken Roberts for al the work he has done, in particular, the administration with registration of players, arranging fixtures and sorting out problems.
