New Brighton 2nd XV Fail To Make It a Double

Not a good day at the office for New Brighton coach and 2nd XV Manager, Steve Dakin, as his team produced a below par performance to be well beaten at West Park in a game which they should reasonably expected to win. An injury to Barry Rylance who unfortunately sustained a broken collar bone early in the second half did not help but there was a lack of hunger about the Blues approach and frequent mistakes were heavily punished by a lively opposition..

The Blues are not out of the danger zone in this league and cannot afford slips when the opportunity for improving the position beckons. This loss could prove costly at the end of the season.

NOTE: A better attendance on training nights, with more time available for resolving problems and improving decision making, could lead to improved performance .
