New Brighton Football Club's home ground is based in the peninsula of Wirral, just across the famous river Mersey from Liverpool. Getting to Reeds Lane couldn't be simpler. From Liverpool via the Wallasey Tunnel or from the Chester direction and the M56, follow the M53 and prepare to leave at Junction 1.
Take the A554 signposted to Wallasey and New Brighton
Take the first slip road off the A554 which is the A551 signposted to N.B. Rugby Club, Hoylake/West Kirkby. (A common mistake is to miss this turn off and continue to follow the New Brighton signs. Don't be tempted.)
1 mile down the M551 there is the Leasowe Castle Hotel on the right and the road directly opposite and on your left is Reeds Lane.
The ground is now on your left behind the houses and the entrance is approximately 100 yards on the left.
Mersey Rail's Wirral Line from Liverpool LimeStreet, service to West Kirkby will bring you to Leasowe station which is 10 minutes walk from the ground. . If you are visiting Liverpool first why not take the 'Ferry across the Mersey' and alight at Woodside terminal where a five minute walk take you to Hamilton Sq Station and you can catch the West Kirby train there. |
